Why is water so important?

You are more than two-thirds water!

Water is essential to living - the only thing more essential to survival is breathing. Water makes up more than two thirds of our bodies, and it is water which allows our cells to be healthy and our organs to detoxify efficiently.


Hydration prevents headaches and fatigue, as well as joint and muscle pain. Did you know that you can improve your energy just by drinking sufficient amounts of water? In fact for every 5% you are dehydrated there is a 25% reduction in your energy level. Isn’t that amazing!

The best water is filtered, and not stored in a plastic container. Filtering water removes the chlorine and chlorine by-products which not only dry your cells, but have been shown in studies to increase the risk of cancer; and plastic containers are not only linked to increases in cancers, but hormonal regulation problems and much more.

It is important to keep these things in mind in your household; however, it is better that you are drinking water frequently than avoiding it because of these factors.

Shoot for the goal of half your body weight in ounces per day and notice a difference in your health. It is expected that with an increase in fluids you will have to urinate more often (every 1-1 ˝ hours), especially at first.

However, this is excellent since you will be removing unwanted waste, keeping your kidneys happy, and increasing your energy level.
